Dear Lord, help me to be prepared for when life's troubles will come. Lord, I know that in my heart I just want the things of life to be easy, but I also realize they never will be. Help me, Lord, when the water of life turns out to be bitter, to not become bitter myself, but to look up to You, give myself to You, so You can show me Your glory. Help me to listen to Your voice in difficult times. Thank You that, from time to time, You permit me to be confronted with a bitter pool, but that You have a purpose with that to teach me.
